We stayed in the Caroline Suite which was in the Carriage House located behind the main house. Perfect place for a quiet getaway. Keith was an excellent host and pointed out where to get on the free bus that takes you around the historic district. He also mentioned a great restaurant to us as we were there for our anniversary. We made reservations several weeks before our trip and the food was delicious at Vic’s on the River. Rooms were clean in the Caroline Suite. The bed was very comfortable. We had lots of water for our stay. Great experience. Wi-Fi seemed to be intermittent. Close to everything you’d want to do in Savannah.

My daughter and I stayed at the Galloway for her Sweet 16 weekend getaway. We had such a great visit! Our little apartment/room was cozy, the bed was comfortable and I appreciated the bottled water and coffee. The Galloway is a little “out of the way” but for us that was perfect too. We had a rental car and was able to park in one of the 2 provided spots. When we didn’t need the car, the location was a fairly short walk to the park or you could ride the bus. When we did dinner in the evenings closer to the river, we Ubered which was very easy and affordable. We definitely enjoyed our time at the Galloway and hope to return again someday.

Gorgeous and cozy front porch. Tropical oasis of a private back garden. Hosts are easy to communicate with and generous in their help. They are open to socializing or giving you 100% privacy; something for both extroverts and introverts to enjoy! For those visiting in the summer months or simply those that like to pack light, there is washer/dryer access which is a real help! A full kitchen can allow for an entire cozy day indoors, complete with coffee! For the same pricing as flimsy and spartan AirBNBs or corporate hotels, I was grateful we chose a real Southern gem to rest and cooldown in (July heatwave). Our trip was greatly enhanced by the Galloway House Inn experience!

Great place to stay and great owners to deal with for any questions you might have. Only thing anyone would have any issue with is the third floor Turner suite (as it’s above the owners living quarters below) you might hear the two lovely Great Danes with a couple barks in the morning but nothing bad at all. Easy parking, quiet area, and the free trolley stop is nearby; don’t know how anyone gives it anything other than 4 or 5 stars

We had the 3rd floor apartment and it was really great. Had all the amenities plus coffee and water that took us through our entire stay of 3 days. Keith was really great guy and we enjoyed his company during the entire stay. He was very attentive; and allowed us to check in early and out late due to our flights!! Highly recommend his place! The location is a distance from the downtown area and the homeless people around there were a bit dodgy but we had no confrontations. There is a free shuttle bus that can take you where you would want to go – they run on the 1/2 hour and there is a stop very close to the Inn. Thanks Keith!

We stayed in the Renwick suite. Very Victorian but full of modern amenities. The courtyard garden is beautiful and a very relaxing hangout, and the front porch was a wonderful place to relax in the evening with a drink.
Lots of good stuff within walking distance; not far from Forsyth Park and the weekend farmer’s market.
Keith and Jim were very welcoming hosts and I thank them for sharing their space with us.

Wonderful stay at this lovely home and gardens! I had a wonderful experience at the Galloway House thanks to Jim and Keith. For the same amount as staying in a stuffy hotel, I got to stay in the heart of Savannah, 7 minutes from downtown minus any of the noise. The room was enormous, full kitchen, private entrance, overlooking the garden. It was clean, and absolutely checked off my southern belle fantasies.
I was only jetsetting for a quick work trip so I didn’t get to fully emerse, but had I the time, this would have been a great spot. The trolley is right at the corner, and the guys left plenty of pamphlets and info to guide the way.
Definitely make the Galloway House Inn part of your next trip!

The Galloway Inn was historic, quaint and beautifully decorated. The hosts took care of all our needs,from the fresh ground coffee daily to having enough creamer and water for our entire stay. The porch was really grand and there was also a beautiful garden in the backyard that we would walk through to get to our suite which had a kitchen, living room and bedroom. They also had plenty of reading material in the suite. The location was ideal because it was close to the trolley stops and to all the squares but far enough from the riverfront to have some peace and quiet at night. I can’t say enough about it.

We went to Savannah to celebrate our 25h wedding anniversary and chose the stunning Galloway House Inn for our stay. We were in the Caroline Suite, the bottom floor of the Carriage House. The room was nice and clean. The property was beautiful. Jim, one of the owners gave us tips on where to go since it was our first time visiting Savannah. It was walking distance to downtown. We would definitely stay there again.

Savannah is such a walkable place. The walk from Galloway House to downtown was very easy for us.(67 & 57 yr olds) There is a free Public Bus that you can cath a block away for those not into walking so much. The charming little shops & eateries near by ( Bull St ) are delightful! We hope to stay again some day!
If your there & are tired of the southern food experiences. Squirrels Pizza or Bull St Taco’s are great! 5.00 Margaritas are a big win!

Having never been to Savannah, nor ever stayed in an inn, I must say we were pleasantly surprised. The Inn is beautiful, spotless, with no musty smell. The beds were very comfortable. We were greeted at check-in and given the “inside scoop” on great restaurants. My husband, who is extremely picky when it comes to his food, was very happy with every single suggestion Jim had. We were very happy we chose the Galloway because it was more of a neighborhood/local vibe then the hustle and traffic of the more closer places towards downtown. We walked several places, even at night and felt perfectly safe. We loved sitting on the huge front porch, drinking coffee and plotting out the days adventure. It was a beautiful place with everything we needed. Jim was always a text away. Every now and then we could hear happy puppy feet coming down the stairs but at no point was it disruptive or annoying. I’m just hoping my husband yelling at the Giants game didn’t bother them.

We spent 4 nights at the Galloway Inn and stayed in the Renwick Suite! The suite was lovely! We did not do any dining in the suite but if we did it was very well equipped with everything you need! We enjoyed all the recommendations from Jim on restaurants, especially Cotton and Rye and Elizabeth’s on 37th. We felt very safe and walked everywhere in the neighborhood! We did use the free bus service to get to River Street and the downtown area which was great because we didn’t have to use our car to get around! A big Thank You to our hosts Jim and Keith for making our 35th wedding anniversary a very memorable time! We will be back the next time we come to Savannah!

Every suggestion was a hit! The neighborhood is further south of the main tourist area but easily walkable. We enjoyed the neighborhood the inn is surrounded by very much and actually ended up spending more time there than up by the main tourist area. There is plenty to do! The inn is beautiful. Three other couples and I rented four of the five rental rooms this past weekend. We were graciously greeted by Jim to show us our rooms and give us all a detailed rundown of activities and restaurants in the area. We met Keith later in the weekend and really enjoyed hearing the story of the Galloway House Inn. Wonderful old house with all the needed amenities for comfort. We spent a great deal of our time walking around this portion of Savannah, and the remainder of the time laughing and relaxing on the huge front porch. We had a memorable three-night stay at the Galloway Inn in The Caroline Suite.
The suite was lovely set back in an attached building surrounded by beautiful gardens. It felt exceptionally private but roomy with a nice kitchenette, a large bath, and the most comfortable bed of our travels. There was a living room area and large TV. The inn was well furnished with local art decor. We did enjoy having our breakfast on the beautiful verandah. Keith and Jim the owners were exceptionally accommodating, giving us the low down on local tours and helping us to get dinner reservations at a better restaurant. The Starland area is an easy walk to the historic district but has plenty of flair of it’s own. We preferred the quiet after exploring. We highly recommend The Galloway House Inn.

I can’t say enough about this inn. The location is excellent, located in the Victorian district so wonderful architecture, amazing restaurants and bars in walking distance, and quiet. However, if you want to venture into the historic district, it’s a nice walk or a $10 Uber ride. The room (Renwick) was very nice, and comfortable and had an excellent bed. The kitchen was well stocked. Jim was an excellent host,to include getting a reservation at Elizabeth’s despite the restaurant being fully booked. He also provided an excellent lay of the land on check-in and was always available. A thoroughly relaxing experience in an historic building. This will be the first place I try to book on any return visits to Savannah.

One of the owners, Jim, graciously met us upon arrival and gave us a quick orientation including lots of good ideas for touring Savannah. The place is absolutely stunning! We stayed in the Renwick suite which was beautifully appointed, from the rich colors and fabrics to the Egyptian cotton sheets 🙂 Jim went out of his way to get us a coveted (and very difficult to get on short notice) reservation at Elizabeth on 37th! The restaurant is just two blocks away and I would highly recommend this as well. The Galloway House has a lush garden that you can walk through and the front porch looks and feels like something from Architectural Digest. I have been to Savannah many times and this ranks as one of the very best places I’ve ever stayed!! It’s an easy walk to Forsyth Park and pretty much all of the historic district. Beautifully clean and top-notch spot!

My stay at the Galloway House was wonderful. The second floor of the carriage house “forced” a stroll through the garden each morning when I left and evening’s return. It was lush, green and cool with a new delight to be found daily. The accomodation itself was excellently appointed with beautiful furniture and oh so comfortable bed. Quality linens and a full kitchen, too. I don’t think I could have asked for more.

We booked The Remington Suite at the Galloway House Inn and it is absolutely gorgeous! Keith and Jim were wonderful hosts, giving us tips and ideas on where to eat and visit within the city. Given the city’s history, it didn’t feel right to stay at a regular hotel and the Galloway House Inn didn’t disappoint. It was exciting staying at a place so beautiful. It’s within walking distance to so much in the area and I would highly recommend booking your stay in Savannah at this Inn.

We recently visited Savannah and rented the Remington Suite at The Galloway House. It is stunning! We were greeted by Jim and shown to our suite. He gave us a great overview of the area and recommended dining options. The neighborhood is very quiet. The front porch is so inviting and we spent a good amount of time out there sipping some cocktails. Both Jim and Keith were very kind and helpful. The mattresses and pillows in the bedrooms are so comfortable-enough so that we had to ask where they purchased them. The house is in a great location for walking to many sites and restaurants. One word of advice-if you intend to cook any meals, you will need to stop at the store and buy butter or oil or something. The pots and pans are stainless steel and you will struggle if you don’t have something to grease those pans with. We highly recommend staying at The Galloway House!

Great experience! The inn is undergoing some renovations and fixing up (mostly cosmetic) on the outside, but that’s to be expected of a 100+ year old structure. We rented the carriage suite behind the main house–quaint, private and comfortable. The hosts were fantastic. We got a complete rundown of the neighborhood upon our arrival, and one of the hosts personally escorted us to our quarters, showed us where everything was (coffee, bottled water, etc.) and shared a list of the local eateries. (This area is GREAT for local dining–none of this chain restaurant stuff. Nearly every eatery is locally owned and operated.) There is no daily housekeeping, but we asked for some fresh towels during our stay and they were promptly delivered. The inn is centrally located; you can get anywhere in the city in a matter of minutes. The area is almost exclusively residential, so not a lot of late night traffic through the neighborhood. There is no parking lot, but there is plenty of street parking and there are a couple of parking spaces in the alley behind the property. Our suite had a full kitchen, including cooktop and full size refrigerator. The two window unit air conditioners were more than adequate to keep the suite comfortable. Overall, the Galloway House is a very good value for the money, and an excellent choice if you want comfortable accommodations at a reasonable price.

Jim met us at check-in and provided a great overview of the area and things to do, places to dine, etc. The apartment (3rd floor) was spacious, well-appointed and very clean – nice kitchen area with bottled water, etc. Bed was very comfortable. Location was a good starting point to explore the historic district. Plenty of great food options in the immediate area. Overall, a great stay and excellent value compared to hotels. Highly recommend!

Beautiful Inn. Roomy, well-appointed Caroline Suite. All of the needed amenities are available. Coffee, water, umbrellas, ice etc. Loved being in the more residential area near fabulous restaurants. Cotton and Rye, Elizabeth’s on 37th excellent. The hosts were wonderful. Very informative and friendly. We would absolutely stay here again. The front porch and garden are lush and tropical.

It was a great experience staying in the carriage house. The place was well-appointed and had everything needed. The owners, Jim and Keith are super friendly, they provided a lot of great advice and information about Savannah that I was very grateful for. The house’s location away from the “crazy” of the north-end River Street was very welcome.

Jim and Keith are fantastic innkeepers…. they are very responsive to requests and questions. The Galloway House Inn is a very comfortable place to stay …a home away from home! It’s easy to get to and a comfortable walk to beautiful Forsyth Park….love the place especially the front porch to sip my morning coffee!

Keith and Jim were great hosts! Jim met us when we arrived and took us up to our room. He took the time to give us suggestions regarding restaurants and shops in their neighborhood. Our room was very nice and had a full kitchen! The grounds and the front porch were lovely; we sat out front a few evenings and it was so peaceful. This was a perfect spot for us as we really wanted to feel the essence of Savannah! Thank you again, we had a great visit!

I had an amazing stay. I didn’t know this part of Savannah existed and it is beautiful, with quite many places to eat and explore. Me and my husband were so happy. The Galloway House was a lovely accommodation in a really cool neighborhood. It was nice to be close to the park and the food options within close walking distance were also great. Bonus points when Jim tried two days in a row (and with success for Saturday at prime dining time!) to get us a reservation at very popular local restaurant. That was above and beyond our expectations and we were delighted. I’ll head straight to the Galloway House for an exceptional stay with great service when I get to Savannah next!

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon. It was like our home away from home. We were in the middle of everything and it was awesome. We loved that it was like a little apartment. We stayed in the Caroline Suite. The owners were amazing and very communicative. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Savannah.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE This place!! This was our first of hopefully many stays here. Keith and Jim were Amazing. We had EVERYTHING we needed in our Cozy and Comfy Cottage. We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to our Family and Friends. Beautiful private Cottage with Exotic Gardens just outside out door. Very Clean and so homey.
