Policies, Terms and Important Information:

Location:  Just off Thomas Square on a quiet residential street and 1.6 miles south of the Savannah River.Parking: Complimentary off-street parking behind the house

Parking: There is off-street parking available for two cars on a first-come, first-served basis. Street parking is ample and unrestricted. On arrival, there is 30 Guest Registration parking directly in front of the house.

Property Security: There is an extensive outdoor security HD video surveillance system, dusk to dawn lighting and also motion sensor lighting, so don’t even think about sneaking in another guest or animal.

Standard Check-In Times: Between 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM we will meet you and show you to your suite. Between 8:00 PM – mid-night we will tell you where a key is located and you can see yourself into the suite. In deference to other guests, we request all guests arrive before midnight. Please call us immediately if this may be an issue.

Early Check-In Times: Unfortunately this is often contingent upon when a previous guest actually departs and the condition they leave the suite. Please call us the day prior to your arrival and we will do all we can to accommodate your request.

Amenities:  Bedding, bath towels, basic toiletries, iron, ironing board, and blow dryer are provided. For reservations made through the www.thegallowayhouse.com website a complimentary bottle of wine is provided on arrival.

Wi-Fi: Password protected, 5G.

HD TV: 260 Channels w/ HBO.

Housekeeping: We don’t provide daily housekeeping but on request, our housekeeper will re-fresh your apartment for stays of 4 days or longer.

Common Areas: Limited to the front porch and gardens only, there is no interior common area.

Smoking / Vaping: Not allowed by local Savannah ordinance anywhere on the property.

Children: Under 14 are not allowed on the property, no exceptions, no excuses. If you arrive with children you will have to find other accommodations and you will forfeit the entire cost of the reservation.

Payment: A deposit of 50% of your total reservation is collected at the time your reservation is made and the balance is charged at check-in. We only accept MasterCard and VISA credit cards, Travelers Checks and cash. Credit card companies do not allow accommodation charges to split charges over multiple credit cards. The Galloway House reserves the right to cancel any reservation within the first 24 hours after the reservation is made.

Animals: We do not allow animals, no exceptions and no excuses. No animals of any kind are allowed anywhere on the Galloway House Inn property, this includes, but is not limited, to all service and therapy animals. The Galloway House Inn is exempt from ADA requirements because we have only four units and the owner, Keith Galloway lives on the 2nd floor of the main house of the Galloway House Inn. Americans with Disabilities Act Title III Regulations, Part 36 Nondiscrimination on the Basis of Disability in Public Accommodations and Commercial Facilities, “Place of public accommodation means a facility operated by a private entity whose operations affect commerce and fall within at least one of the following categories – (1) Place of lodging, except for an establishment located within a facility that contains not more than five rooms for rent or hire and that actually is occupied by the proprietor of the establishment as the residence of the proprietor.” For further information please go to https://www.ada.gov/regs2010/titleIII_2010/titleIII_2010_regulations.htm#a104. If a guest arrives with an animal they will not be given access to the property until they have found other accommodations for the animal. If there is a surveillance video of a guest bringing an animal on the property the guest agrees to pay a $500 per night, per animal additional charge.

Over the years we’ve rescued six Great Danes, so we understand that boarding dogs has gotten very expensive. Unfortunately in the last few years, it seems that the population old fashioned “pets” has plummeted, while the number of “Service Animals” has sky-rocketed.

Deliveries: We will only accept the delivery of fresh flowers from florists located in the city of Savannah. If you need to have anything else, including medical supplies delivered to the Galloway House Inn you must schedule the delivery for when you are here to receive it. We do not accept responsibility for any parcel delivered on behalf of a guest.

Terms: Guests agree to indemnify and save individual owners, Keith K. Galloway and his employees, free and harmless for any liabilities or any loss or damage whatsoever arising from, related to, or in any connection with the rental of the premises, including but not limited to, any claim or liability of personal injury or damage or loss of property which is incurred or sustained by a guest or the guest’s of a guest. Keith Galloway reserves the right to refuse or discontinue tenancy if, in his sole opinion, any person displays inappropriate behavior. Guests will be responsible for any damages or theft. A valid credit card must be on file for every reservation. Policies are subject to change without notice. Reservations may not be re-sold. Only registered guests are allowed to spend the night.

Cancellations of Reservations Made on www.TheGallowayHouse.com:

1. All requests to cancel or in any way change any reservation must be made in writing and please call us to confirm that we receive your email.

2. There is a $50 cancellation fee for all cancellations.

3. Thirty days (720 hours) or more prior to arrival, please email your request for a full refund less the $50 cancellation fee.

4. Between 30 days (719 hours) and 14 days (337) hours please email your request and you will be responsible for 50% of the total reservation cost.

5. Fourteen days (336 hours) or less prior to your arrival please email your request and you will responsible for the total cost of the reservation.

6. If we receive the cancellation in writing and the reservation has been paid, we will try to re-book the nights with another guest and IF successful, we will issue a refund.

Trip insurance is inexpensive and may be included with credit card memberships along with organizations like AAA, AARP, etc., it is also available from online trip insurance providers, consequently, the Galloway House Inn does not provide insurance.

If there is a mandatory evacuation, due to a hurricane, issued by the State of Georgia we will cancel any reservations for the first day of the ordered evacuation and one day after. If you have any questions please call us at 912-658-4419.

Cancellations of Reservations Made Through Online Travel Agents:

Reservations made through any online travel agent is  subject to the terms, conditions, and policies of the online travel agent, Expedia, Booking.com, Hotels.com, etc. In most cases, OTA’s have a no-cancellation, no changes, and no refund policy. We can not alter, amend, cancel or change the terms, conditions, and policies of any online travel agent.
